As an Employer, you are required to:
  • Establish and maintain a good standing as an employer in British Columbia.
  • Offer full-time, permanent employment with no set end date.
  • Demonstrate a positive track record of workplace and business practices.
  • Execute an employer declaration.
  • Comply with domestic labor market recruitment requirements, as applicable.
  • Make a full-time, permanent job offer to the candidate.
  • Provide a competitive wage that aligns with industry standards.
Employer Duties

In addition to fulfilling the general employer obligations, your employer must also:

  • Provide you with a written job offer.
  • Fill out the appropriate sections of the application forms.
  • Keep the BC PNP informed of any changes in your employment status, such as promotions, terminations, layoffs, extended leave, business closure, or ownership changes.
